Few Things

I realised yesterday that I had only been at uni for 2 weeks, the last two weeks have felt like a lifetime, my grandma died which made everything pass by slowly and exams added to that feeling. I still have three exams left, finish on wednesday which is gunna be a relief. Last term whizzed by, i assume the pace will pick up soon.
Interesting how time even though it is (in the main) constant seems to pass by so differently depending on what we are doing, journeys down to the south of France used to fly by, whereas the journey back felt like agesss! how Jonny Screwdriver seems to take for ever to play, yet level 9 (a longer song) is over in an instant.

I have never been great at getting to sleep, my brother falls asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow, when i was younger it used to amaze me the idea that on christmas eve he would go to bed and straight away in his mind it would be christmas day (the whole idea that when u go to sleep the next day seems to beckon straight away) yet i would be tossing and turning for hours or whatever trying to get to sleep, in my head he was a day ahead, everyone was a day ahead, they were unwrapping there presents (and possibly mine) and unless i could force myself to sleep they would always be ahead of me.

how slow time must have gone for my gran, yet now shes ahead of me, shes already onto the next expedition but im not going to force myself to sleep like on christmas eve, because i know she will wait for me before opening her presents.

You shatter my decency

Oh dear, it's 5:30 in the morning and i can't sleep. For the last week i have had a weird sleeping pattern, and it sucks. Then again having a laptop open on your bed is probably not going to help.
Anyway everything is a little stressful at the moment, exams start next week and although some topics are falling into place i still feel there is a huge void in my overall knowledge of my course, which isnt a great thing. Plus another thing is getting me down but i don't wanna go into that.

on the upside, i managed to sort of learn level 9 on the guitar this week, which is cool, i still have the strange coincidence that when i park in the cage in Birmingham the first available space always seems to be on level 9.

Played basketball today, i am quite possibly the worst person ever to set foot on a court, no joke, squash i can deal with, football i can shuffle through trying my best not to lose the ball, but basketball, tcsh, will carry on playing though :) Broke my strings on my squash racquet the other day as well, which was annoying cus now i don't have a working racquet, and it's the third time this year!

ok right im gunna try and sleep, geez that was a boring post, no strange view on life, no interesting anecdote from my day...
things will get better, honest.

New Year etc

Woohoo, another year over well im not actually that excited.
2005 was awesome for me. From working in Halifax to travelling in Australia and New Zealand to starting studying again in Nottingham.
Not sure 2006 will be as vaired, but im hoping it will be as good, it should be all the elements are still there and perhaps a few other things could fall into place but we'll see.

Anyway in the more recent past i have had a couple of wicked days. Another Soulvendor gig at the red lion which was fun, and a trip down to Wiltshire for a new year party with some uni mates which Rer-ocked.
Ritey Happy 2006 everyone, man this year im gunna get old, twenties!!! thats bad
cya!
