Tuppence

I realise i haven't blogged for a long long time, however i was briefly looking through old blogs and noticed the lovely picture of 'my' cat and felt i wanted to update what happened.

After she lived in the garden for a few weeks, our neighbours took a liking to her and decided to take her in. (seeing as me having her at uni was a little impractical). They called her Tuppence and my parents kept an eye on her when they went away.

i wanted to update my blog because my mum gave me the sad news that she had dissapeared a few weeks back and hasn't returned, which made me quite sad since she was the first sort of pet i had, but anyway thats it really.

may start blogging again, not sure, i have an essay on truth to write so i should do that first...

mmmmm 454grams.....

Ok, so imagine the situation, i feel a little hungry, i go downstairs to grab a bit of toast and honey and the thought strikes me that the honey jar (Gales in this case since i haven't examined other brands) have a really silly design. At the top they slope in (as you can see on the left) which makes it hard to angle the knife for optimum honeyage. My feeling is that honey jars should be designed with the glass sloping outwards, that way your knife doesn't have to be angled the wrong way to get at that sweet golden gloop.

However, this doesn't stop me being happy with my honey, as you can see:

Actually on second thoughts i still look slightly miffed, and what is with my lip and eyebrows? oh wait thats my face, i really should of worn my glasses and mask.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Argh! I hate the lack of time structure in uni life. Why am I on a body clock, which only lets me work between 8 at night and 4 in the morning? Then I realise that I can't sleep because it starts to get light outside. The only advantage I see to this is that I get to have more than 3 meals a day. However, we have run out of bread, so no toast. So had to resort to shreddies. Now this is something which has always bothered me; foodstuff going soft, shreddies are no good if they are soft, same with doritos. What is worse though is that our fridge smells of fish, this doesn't make me want to eat anything inside, although I think the only thing I own in there are my pickled gerkins.

Anyway it could be worse, I could be attempting to make the biggest architecture model in the world like Chan.

My head hurts due to too much noise from drums

Ok i haven't posted for absolutely ages, im no sure why. Thing have changed quite a lot really since my last post and i suppose i haven't felt the need to write anything.
Updating the last story, the cat decided it had had enough of the Atkinson household and went to live next door, i don't know you give a cat a home and some food and it decides the grass is greener on the other side, however i think it comes round from time to time, gets a bit of food but she knows whats shes done and how shes hurt the Atkinson family and im not sure we will ever truly forgive her, it was an emotional time and i just don't want to talk about the betrayal anymore!

Anyway, i have started my second year at Nottingham, much happier than the last due to a combination of an excellent relationship outside Nottingham and friendships within Nottingham becoming stronger, so i don't feel so lonely anymore.

I Was meant to be going to see the Guillemots last night but the singer had a sore throat and cancelled, that as very very annoying, although it led to an interesting discovery that yes being poked in the eye with a gerkin does in fact hurt.

This is really boring isn't it? maybe i will post like the old days sometime soon, or in fact this is very much like the old days, boring, nothing profound and far too long.

Homeless, nameless and ridiculously cute

Okay I have a slight surprise for you, the news that last week I made a friend. However, before you get carried away it is not human but merely a cat, I am pleased though.

Im not sure the cat has a home, sorta been half feeding it and that for the last week, so there are two questions:

A) should I keep it? (assuming that it hasn't got a home)
B) what should I call it?

Some sort of open debate on this would be useful, however I am aware that there are few people who actually comment/come here. So if you come here but never comment nows yer chance!

Here is a picture to in no way sway your opinion:

Breaking the lyric trend

Okie doke, so I haven't updated in a while. I have done a fair bit since Roskilde... Honest.

I have been back and forth to Wales and had a nice weekend with some uni mates as well as a week of "soul searching and wood cutting" with my brother David which was excellent, and a final few days recently which were the best of the lot, no offence to the previous people.

I almost feel at a loose end writing this, I don't feel depressed so I can't write my usual self-deprecating drivel (Ooo I just did) but yeh anyway except for being absolutely shattered from work I feel pretty darn good, im sure that is against the law in blog land, oh well shoot me!

I will make up for it by posting this rather nice picture...

"The distance is quite simply much too far for me to row, it seems farther than ever before"

Ok so I went to Denmark for my first music festival last week and it rrrocked! I was a bit lazy but all the bands I went to see were good and I saw all the things I wanted to see plus a few extras
good company, good music, bad food and bad wine but you can't have it all, my neck seems to have packed up as well I think I needed a better pillow. I don't really know what a defining moment of the weekend would have been, perhaps Death Cab playing the epic 'Translanticism' or being blown away by the power and sincerity of Martha Wainwright's voice. Dancing rather badly to 'Clap your hands say yeah!' was also something to remember but some of the people I met will probably cause the enduring memories.

Anyway it was fun and I hope if possible to go back next year, there were surprisingly few English people there which was refreshing.
